Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 August 2026 · Draft for Dr Pule's approval · Prepared with POPIA in mind
1. The short version
This website is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. It has no user accounts, no cookies for tracking, and no forms that submit to a server. Anything you type into the appointment helper or the Cycle Companion stays on your own device unless you choose to send it yourself via WhatsApp or telephone.
2. Who is responsible
The responsible party for this website is Dr K Pule Inc., Arwyp Medical Suites, Ground Floor, 20 Pine Avenue, Kempton Park, 1619 · 011 922 1086. Information you share in consultations is handled under the practice's clinical record-keeping obligations, which are separate from this website.
3. What this website processes
- Appointment requests. The request helper composes a message on your device. When you tap "Send on WhatsApp", the message opens in your own WhatsApp app addressed to the rooms. This website does not store or transmit the request itself.
- The Cycle Companion. All calculations happen in your browser. Dates and cycle details are not saved, sent or stored anywhere.
- Anonymous usage statistics. We count page visits and clicks (for example, how many people tapped "WhatsApp") using a first-party, cookieless counter. It does not identify you, does not follow you across other websites, and respects your browser's "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control settings.
4. What this website does not do
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- No sale or sharing of personal information with third parties for marketing.
- No storage of medical information entered on the website.
5. Third-party services
Some parts of the website are provided by third parties, which may process your IP address when they load or when you use them: Google Maps (the location map, and the "Open in Google Maps" link), Waze (navigation link), Google Fonts (typefaces), WhatsApp (if you send a request), and the social and media platforms we link to (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, podcast platforms and news sites). Their own privacy policies apply on their services.
6. Your rights under POPIA
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 you may ask what personal information the practice holds about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to processing. Contact the rooms on 011 922 1086. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
